Ada Foah is a town on the southeast coast of Ghana, where the Volta River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It’s known for palm-lined beaches and estuary islands. Marine turtles breed in the area. On the seafront are traces of Fort Kongenstein, built by 18th-century Danish traders. Next to the old Presbyterian Church is a 19th-century missionary cemetery. Songor Lagoon is a wetland area with numerous bird species

Where the largest man made lake in Ghana empties itself into the Atlantic Ocean. An hour ride from Aqua Safari Resort to the estuary of the Volta River.

Crocodile Island

Sanctuary of our long railed friends on an island in Ada. 30 minutes boat ride from Aqua Safari Resort to the crocodile island.

Mangrove forest

Visit a live ecological island village to learn about mangrove. 15 minutes car ride from Aqua Safari Resort to the mangrove forest

Bird watching

Visit the winter home of thousands of migratory European birds at the Songer Lagoon near Pute, Ada Foah (Seasonal: October to January). Contact reception on how to get there.
